The Foundation
Founded in 1983, the Brightshores Meaford Hospital Foundation continues its long tradition of supporting local healthcare. For more than four decades, we have been dedicated to inspiring the communities of Meaford, The Town of The Blue Mountains, and surrounding areas to invest in keeping exceptional healthcare close to home.
With the support of our community, we strengthen local healthcare by raising funds for vital medical equipment, technological advancements, and important infrastructure improvements.
We also take a regional approach, working closely with Brightshores Health System and our sister Foundations to help advance innovative healthcare solutions for the broader populations of Grey and Bruce counties.
The Foundation is governed by an elected Board of Directors who are committed community volunteers.

As the Executive Director of the Brightshores Health System Meaford Hospital Foundation, I am honoured to be part of a team dedicated to supporting our community and ensuring that Brightshores Health System Meaford Hospital remains a vital resource for the health and well‑being of everyone who relies on it. As a Meaford resident who has personally used the services at our hospital, my wife and I understand firsthand how essential it is to have high‑quality care close to home.
Throughout the year, our staff and Board work tirelessly to engage with our generous supporters—individuals, families, businesses, and community groups—whose contributions continue to make a meaningful difference in the quality of healthcare in our region.
As we look ahead, we remain focused on our goal of putting the best tools in the hands of our medical team, so that every patient can receive the best possible care.
