Vince Rogers
Always philanthropic at heart, Vince sold his logistics and food services companies and moved to the South Georgian Bay Region settling in Meaford where he shifted his focus to healthcare. His dedication to enhancing local health services and community well-being combines his experience in corporate relationships and best practices from the private sector to the NFP sector. Vince is a past member and chair of the Meaford Hospital Foundation, past member of Brightshores Research advisory committee as well as working as director of marketing and communications in 2023. Vince joined the Meaford Hospital Foundation in the fall of 2024. He is also an active volunteer in the community on such events as Scarecrow Invasion and Christmas on the Bay. Vince and his wife Kimberly along with their children and grandbabies love to explore Meaford & surrounding area.
Whether on 2 wheels or 4 wheels Vince loves “back roading” through the region.

Andrea Roylance

Andrea Roylance
Andrea joined the Foundation in March of 2024. She brings with her a wide range of experience from various sectors including travel and tourism, arts and culture, public relations and healthcare community development, specializing in community engagement, activation and fundraising events. Andrea’s work with non-profits include; The Gibson Centre for Community, Arts and Culture, CNIB and Matthews House Hospice. Andrea’s passion is connecting to community, encouraging participation and creating awareness of an exceptional community.
She and her dog Maple enjoy the beautiful shores and trails of Georgian Bay.

Tony Hay-Roe

Tony Hay-Roe
Tony joined the Meaford Hospital Foundation in 2023, bringing over 25 years of experience in financial leadership across diverse sectors. After relocating to Meaford from Etobicoke, with his Meaford-born wife and two children, he was eager to become involved in the community.
Having been a long-time donor to the MHF, Tony was excited to contribute further to the Foundation’s mission. Holding an MBA in Finance from York University, Tony built a distinguished career specializing in financial strategy, budgeting, accounting, tax, and treasury management. His expertise in these areas is invaluable as he works to guide MHF’s financial strategy and ensure the long-term success of the Foundation.

Willard VanderPloeg
Charitable Giving Advisor
Willard VanderPloeg
As our Charitable Giving Advisor, Willard promotes legacy giving and assists donors in planning Will bequests and other special gifts in support of Brightshores Health System Foundations in Meaford, Markdale, Owen Sound, Southampton, Wiarton and Lion’s Head.
He has more than 30 years’ experience in the charitable sector and in estate and gift planning. Willard has a BA in Business Administration from McMaster University and Redeemer College. He is a long time member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.

Ann Ford
President & CEO,

Ann Ford
Ann Ford is currently the President & CEO of Brightshores Health System, a large regional health centre that operates six hospitals located in the Grey Bruce region as part of an integrated rural health system.
Ann has spent much of her career in executive healthcare leadership and has experience with large project development and implementation working with provincial, healthcare partners and community stakeholders within both urban and rural communities. In addition to her BSc. Microbiology, Ann holds a Masters of Health Administration of the University of Colorado and is a graduate of the Advanced Health Care Leadership Program at Rotman School of Business, University of Toronto.

Bernadette Mervyn
Manager – Meaford Site

Bernadette Mervyn
Born and raised in Brampton, Bernadette’s family moved to the area just in time for her to begin high school. After high school, Bernadette enrolled into the collaborative nursing program through Georgian College and York University, graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009.
Post graduation Bernadette secured a part time position as a Medical Surgical nurse within Brightshores Health System and continued her education to include both the perioperative and post anesthetic care courses. Upon completion of these courses, Bernadette was fortunate to secure a full-time position in surgical services overseeing the Surgical Daycare, Operating Room and Recovery room at Brightshores Health System Meaford site.
In continuing with her education Bernadette later enrolled into the Master of Nursing program through Athabasca University, where she graduated in 2022. In the fall of 2024 Bernadette was offered and accepted the position of Manager, Brightshores Health System Meaford Site.
