Meaford Hospital

The Meaford General Hospital was built in 1952 replacing the Meaford Cottage Hospital. To accommodate the growing needs of the community, the hospital went through expansion in 1995. In 1998 the Meaford Hospital became part of Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS), along with Markdale, Owen Sound, Southampton, Lion’s Head and Wiarton hospitals to collaborate with and share critical services across the region. In the fall of 2023, the group of hospitals were rebranded as Brightshores Health System. Brightshores Meaford site continues to develop its rich history as a highly respected hospital and a leader in patient care.

  • 15 in-patient beds
  • dedicated Auxiliary of over 45 volunteers
