$88,490 Raised for Meaford Hospital Foundation During “On Air for Healthcare” Radiothon

Lite 99.3fm Radiothon Raises Record Funds to Support New Ventilator at Brightshores Meaford Hospital

The “On Air for Healthcare” Radiothon,hosted by Lite 99.3fm on Saturday, December 21, raised an astounding $90,000 in support of the Meaford Hospital Foundation. The funds will be used to purchase a new ventilator for the hospital, enhancing critical care services for the community.

Listeners and community members participated through a combination of phone-in, online, and in-person donations, responding to special challenges and matching donation opportunities throughout the event. The generous outpouring of support exceeded expectations, and the final total raised will directly impact the hospital’s ability to provide life-saving care. “We are overwhelmed by the generosity shown by our community,” said Wendy Moffat at Lite 99.3fm. “The success of the ‘On Air for Healthcare’ Radiothon was due to the incredible support we received from listeners, local businesses, and our sponsors. The money raised will go directly toward purchasing a new ventilator, which is a vital piece of equipment for patient care at Brightshores Meaford Hospital.”

The event would not have been possible without the sponsorship of Straw Hat Renovations, McDonald’s Furniture, JA Custom Homes, Back 40 Glamping, Meaford Outlet Store, Franny’s Mercato, Godard’s Independent, Touch of Taryn Foundation and The Dam Pub, whose contributions helped make the Radiothon a huge success.

Lite 99.3 Hosts Radiothon on December 21st

Lite 99.3 is excited to host “On Air for Healthcare”,  a Radiothon for the Meaford Hospital Foundation on Saturday, December 21, from 9:00am. to 5:00pm. The event, hosted by JD Moffat, will raise funds for essential medical equipment, including a new ventilator for Meaford Hospital.

With the ongoing Canada Post strike affecting the Foundation’s usual mail-out campaigns, this Radiothon is an important way for the community to support local healthcare. Funds raised will help purchase critical equipment for Meaford Hospital, which relies on community support for new technologies and life-saving tools.

JD Moffat says, “Meaford Hospital is a vital part of our community, and this Radiothon gives us a chance to ensure it has the equipment it needs to provide top-quality care for our friends, families, and neighbors.”
