Meaford Harbour 5K Run/Walk

Bring your family, friends, co-workers – walk or run this long standing event in support of The Meaford Hospital Foundation.


Participant safety is of the utmost importance when it comes to our event. We have some changes this year for the safety of our participants. The race route has changed due to construction of the Bridge Street bridge. Please refer to the route map below.

Race Kit Pickup!

Come to the Farmer’s Market at the Harbour between 4 and 7 p.m. on Friday, July 10th to pick up your race kit and avoid the mayhem of race day morning. We will hand out bibs, shirts and swag as well as accept new registrations. Of course, we will still do kit pick up and new registrations on race day morning from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m.

Start Time Information

Walkers start 2 minutes after the Runners. This is for the safety of all and to avoid start line congestion. The Run will start at 9:00 a.m. and the Walk will start at 9:02. We ask all Walkers to keep clear of the start area until after the Runners have left.

NOTE: There has been a change to the start line for our event this year. All participants including the KIDS race will start at the finish line on St. Vincent Street.

Also note: the bridge on Bridge Street is closed to construction this summer. Please use Denmark Street to access parking at the harbour.

Walk Don’t Run

This is a timed event with awards to the top finishers. If you are registered as a Walker, you cannot run at any time during the event. It is not fair to others who abide by the rules and walk the entire course.

Chip Timing

Again this year we have timing chips affixed to your bib.

We encourage everyone to participate again this year. Please bring along your friends, neighbours and family to help us break another record.

All proceeds raised from this event support improvements for Mental Health care and facilities at our local hospitals.
