At the Meaford Hospital, the safety of our patients and our staff is at the forefront. Our frontline teams continue to provide high quality care to our patients and the staff that are working around the clock to support them.

Your hospital team is here for you – please stay home, this will be a huge help to those working tirelessly to keep our community safe.

DONATION OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES
Like many other hospitals and both Bruce and Grey Counties, GBHS is asking the public for donations of Personal Protective Equipment. We have adequate supplies right now, but we know the public would like to show their support for healthcare workers, and if they are willing to bring forward supplies, we are happy to accept them. We are asking for new, unused supplies of the following:
- Masks – surgical and N95
- Full or half face respirators, and cartridges and filters with model numbers N99, N100 / R95, R99, R100 / P95, P99, P100)
- Disposable isolation gowns
- Gloves – examination or surgeons gloves (Vinyl/Nitrile)
- Safety goggles
- Face shields (lightweight plastic)
- Hospital Scrubs/uniforms
Residents and businesses can call (519) 378-1466 between 12 noon and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday to arrange drop off.

At this moment we don’t know specifically what the needs will be, just that there will be needs that are not otherwise funded by government, and things that we need to make happen quickly. Having surplus funds set aside for Covid-19 will allow us to purchase what is required
Making a donation today will ensure our team at The Meaford Hospital has the essential lifesaving equipment, technology and supplies to provide patients with the best possible care and safety for all patients – and themselves during this time of unrest.
