Yes. An official tax receipt will be issued for the amount received by The Meaford Hospital Foundation within the given tax year.
You can donate in many ways! Donations can be made to the Meaford Campaign through the Meaford Hospital Foundation. You can also choose cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard or preauthorized payment plan. Pledges may be paid over a period of up to five (5) years.
This new technology will help us recruit doctors. Medical school graduates see digital technology as standard equipment and locate in areas where it is available to them. Family doctors will also be able to utilize this equipment to ensure the best patient care possible. Recruiting and retaining top health care professionals at all levels is becoming an increasing challenge for all hospitals, especially in the rural settings like Meaford. Recruitment and retention is about offering a quality work setting and equipment in which to deliver the best possible patient care.
There is no government funding provided to our hospitals to purchase capital equipment or renovations. Yes, the Ontario Ministry of Health has committed to providing $800,000 annually to the MRI for the region. This money is committed to the operational costs. Therefore, when new capital equipment is required by the Meaford Hospital, the Meaford Hospital Foundation must raise these much needed funds to purchase this new equipment and technology.
Patients wil lhave a better chance of overcoming serious illness thanks to earlire detection, diagnosis and treatment as a result of this new equipment and technology. You will have a hospital with: - Upgraded medical equipment - Better resources and supports to attract and retain physicians and other specialists to the area. - An x-ray machine with digital capacity. This digital technology allows the technologists to work faster; see more patients in the same amount of time. These digital images can then be sent and viewed anywhere, anytime, any place as required once this equipment is in place. More and better treatment will exist for patients and their families
The Municipalities of Meaford and Grey Highlands along with the Town Of The Blue Mountains have been asked to participate and all have done so. Individuals, corporations, small businesses and community organizations in all three municipalities have been asked to give as well.
Yes. The $2,835,000 campaign total includes - $1.5 million for the purchase of capital equipment specific to Meaford Hospital over the next five (5) years. - $835,000 for the purchase of Meaford's digital x-ray machine. - $500,000 has been committed to the regional MRI located in Owen Sound. Any fundraising costs associated with this campaign are being paid separately by the Meaford Hospital Foundation. Therefore, 100% of the money raised will go directly to its purpose.
